If your organisation is already registered but you do not have a username and password to log in to the website, please contact your organisation's administrator who will be able to give you the membership key that allows you to create your account details here.

When you register your organisation we will create an account on the website for you to use when accessing our services and features.

Because you are the person registering, you will be made the primary user for your organisation. This means you will be able to manage other user accounts associated with your organisation (for example, if you want someone else to submit news articles or to complete the diagnostic tool). You will also receive the Membership Key that other members of your organisation will need if they want to access the website.

You will use this to log in to the website, and it will also be used for any communication between the website and yourself, e.g. for resetting your password. The email address will also be used to contact you regarding your organisation’s Nova membership.

Please note: If this email address is the same as the one you entered for your organisation’s email address, it will be displayed on the online Directory if you choose that option later in the form.

Create a password that is at least 7 characters long. Try and avoid "password" or "myname"!

Online directory

The Directory holds details of Nova members. It aims to be a reliable resource for anyone looking for details of voluntary and community sector groups/organisations in Wakefield District and the local area.

You can also choose to display the organisation’s address, telephone number and email address in addition to your organisation name, website address and short description of your organisation and what it does. Please tick the boxes below if you wish for these details to be displayed in the online Directory.

Nova communications

We would like to keep in touch with you regarding Nova news, and news, events, jobs, funding and training opportunities related to the voluntary and community sector locally and nationally. We do this through our monthly e-bulletin and regular e-shots to Nova members.

Nova uses MailChimp to send these communications. If you choose to receive them your email address, first name, surname and organisation name will be stored on our secure account with MailChimp. Your data will only be used for the purpose of sending you our communications as described above. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the emails.

Data protection

Information that you have given on this form will be processed for the purposes of your Nova membership registration, and will be stored on our secure UK based webserver. It will also be added to Lamplight, which is the secure UK based online database system used by Nova Wakefield District to record details of Nova members. We also use Lamplight to record details of the services we have provided to you and your organisation. We use this information for performance management and reporting purposes. Where you have given permission for your information to be used in the Nova online Directory of organisations then this information will be publicly available on the Nova Website.

Your information may also be used for dealing with enquiries about local groups and included in local directories as appropriate. Information about the size of your organisation, the sectors of population you service, the geographical area you cover and the funds you raise may be used to provide information about the needs of the sector to support its development and we will not identify individual organisations.
