Nova is running a Governance Masterclass programme aimed at Trustees.
|When||Tuesday 3 September at 10:00am to 12:00pm|
Nova Wakefield District Limited
11 Upper York Street, Wakefield, WF1 3LQ
Good governance is a vital part of how third sector organisations operate and are held accountable. The Governance Masterclass programme will be made up of five sessions. Attending all five sessions will provide a solid underpinning for new trustees and for experienced board members who need a refresh on their understanding of their role in strategic leadership and governance of the organisation they are on the board/committee of.
The Volunteers and the Law session covers various topics relevant to volunteer co-ordinators, groups of volunteers and those connected with the third sector. From who is a volunteer, through legal rights and responsibilities, to health and safety issues.
Andrew Marsden, Brearleys Solicitors, will be delivering the session.
