Grow Wild Grants
Grow Wild, the outreach initiative of Kew Gardens, has two grant funds open for projects that help people connect with nature and inspire people through UK native wildflower, plants or fungi.
Heritage Lottery Fund - Small Grants Programmes
The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) is encouraging groups across Yorkshire and the Humber to delve into their heritage to discover the knowledge, fun, skills, and benefits HLF funding can unlock. The Small Grants Programmes are open until 18 January 2018.
Wakefield Warm Homes Fund
The Warm Homes Fund provides gas central heating to help people save energy and stay warm in their homes. The funding is available for a limited time and will be given to those who apply first.
Tampon Tax Community Fund
The Tampon Tax Community Fund is now accepting applications from projects supporting women and girls in North & East Yorkshire, York, Hull, Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield. The deadline for applications is the 5 of November.
Integrated Communities English Language Programme
The Integrated Communities English Language Programme, due to commence in April 2019, aims to tackle a lack of English language skills, which has been identified by the government as one of the key causes of poor integration. Closing date for applications is 31 October 2018.
The Traingle Trust
The Triangle Trust provides funding twice a year through its Development Grants programme: one round is held for organisations working with carers and the other round is for organisations working with the rehabilitation of offenders or ex-offenders. The deadline for stage one applications is 22 October 2019 (noon).
Warm Homes Programme
Wakefield residents are being urged to apply for funding that aims to help homeowners and private rented tenants to lower their fuel bills.
Postcode Community Trust - Round 2
Postcode Community Trust was established in 2014 to support projects which benefit a community's mental and/or physical health and wellbeing. Application deadlines for Round 2 are: Stage 1 - August 14 and Stage 2 - September 25 2019
John Ellerman Foundation
The funder aims to advance the wellbeing of people, society and the natural world. Support is available for charitable work in the arts, environment and social action. Applications can be made at any time.
Community Housing fund
Homes England is making available £163 million across England up to 2020 to 2021 through the Community Housing Fund. Applications will be accepted until the funding is fully committed or until 31 December 2019, whichever occurs first.
Tesco Bags of Help fund
Tesco, in conjunction with Groundwork, have launched the Bags of Help community grant scheme, which is funded from the 10p carrier bag change. This is a rolling programme and applications can be made at any time.
Sporting Capital
Sporting Capital is the first social investment fund in England that focuses specifically on organisations and projects that help to develop communities through sport and physical activity. Applications can be made at any time.
Education Endowment Foundation
The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is keen to receive applications for high-potential projects which aim to improve attainment and related outcomes for disadvantaged children and young people. Application deadline is 28 June 2019.
Co-op Community Dividend Fund
The Co-op Community Dividend Fund is inviting applications from local charities and community and voluntary groups based in Central England to apply for grants of up to £5,000. Deadline for applications is 26 July 2019.
Biffa Awards - Community Buildings
Recreation is part of Biffa Awards’ Main Grants Programme which aims to provide or improve biodiversity, community spaces, cultural facilities, and places for outdoor recreation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
