Sporting Capital is the first social investment fund in England that focuses specifically on organisations and projects that help to develop communities through sport and physical activity. Applications can be made at any time.
Education Endowment Foundation
The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is keen to receive applications for high-potential projects which aim to improve attainment and related outcomes for disadvantaged children and young people. Application deadline is 28 June 2019.
Co-op Community Dividend Fund
The Co-op Community Dividend Fund is inviting applications from local charities and community and voluntary groups based in Central England to apply for grants of up to £5,000. Deadline for applications is 26 July 2019.
Biffa Awards - Community Buildings
Recreation is part of Biffa Awards’ Main Grants Programme which aims to provide or improve biodiversity, community spaces, cultural facilities, and places for outdoor recreation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Warburton's Trust - Community Grants
Small grants of up to £250 are available for local projects, activities and organisations that have charitable aims and that will be of real direct benefit to families in England, Scotland and Wales. Applications are considered quarterly.
John Lewis Foundation
Grants are available for registered charities for projects that support disadvantaged communities to acquire relevant skills for meaningful employment. Applications can be made at any time.
Heritage Small Grants
The National Lottery Heritage Fund is encouraging bids to their small grants programme from groups across Yorkshire and the Humber. Applications can be made at any time.
Ernest Hecht Charitable Foundation
Grants are available to UK registered charities working in England and Wales in the areas of advancing education, relieving poverty and advancing religion, with a focus on helping young people in need so that they can live a fuller and more satisfying life in the community.
Sheds Grant Fund
Royal Voluntary Service with funding from the Asda Foundation has established a Sheds Grant Fund to provide small scale funding to Sheds who are looking for help with either set up or early stage development costs. The grant panel meets at intervals throughout the year.
Henry Smith Charity Grants Programme
The Henry Smith Charity distributes over £28 million a year in grant programmes designed to reduce social and economic disadvantage in the UK. There are no deadlines. Applications are considered on a regular basis, depending on the fund applied to.
DFID - Small Charities Challenge Fund
The Department for International Development (DFID) has established this new challenge fund in order to strengthen grassroots organisations working with the poor, vulnerable and most marginalised. The fund will remain continually open, and applications will be reviewed on a six-monthly basis.
