Grant Round 7 of the Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund, which is making £1 million available to groups and organisations across West Yorkshire, is now open.
This grant round will support projects and interventions which will help deliver the new Police and Crime Plan 2024-28. Consultation on the new Plan ended on 31 October 2024 and has revealed overall support for the draft Plan, its priorities, cross-cutting themes and areas of focus.
Anyone delivering in any part of West Yorkshire across Bradford, Calderdale, Leeds, Kirklees and Wakefield Districts can apply.
The fund will also be open to projects which will deliver the BUILD element of Clear, Hold Build (CHB) in four Home Office pilot areas across West Yorkshire. CHB is a framework designed to improve the local response to tackling serious and organised crime threats, and are inviting projects delivering in BD3 in Bradford, Park Ward in Calderdale, Harehills in Leeds, and Ashbrow in Kirklees to apply. The fund closes at midday on 13 December 2024.
Pot 1 – £15k to £20k
The £15,000 to £20,000 grant will be subject to a specific grant agreement and will require the submission of;
Please note a portion of the funding will be paid on award of the grant and the rest will be paid throughout the grant period.
Payment will be agreed on award of the grant.
Pot 2 - £10k or less
Applicants applying for £10,000 or less will have the usual Terms and Conditions.
Previously successful Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund applicants who are still within their 12-month delivery period and/or have not submitted a successful evaluation cannot apply for this pot.
Pot 3 - Collaboration Pot
The grant pots are flexible.
Our Community Access Support Bursary aims to help community-focused groups and organisations to access culture during Our Year, with bursaries up to £500 to access cultural events, places and activities.
Unrestricted grants for community and voluntary sports groups delivering activities for a social purpose to under-represented communities, this year's focus is on supporting adult clubs.
Grants are available to fund core costs of smaller registered charities working in the following areas: children and young people; disadvantaged families and prisoners and ex-offenders.
