Nova delivers Introduction to the Third Sector training sessions to public and private sector colleagues who would like to find out more about the sector, both locally and nationally.

The sessions are 3 hours long, are free and can address any specific areas of interest/queries that participants may have about the third sector.

The Introduction to the Third Sector training covers:

  • The theory underpinning the concept of the 'Third Sector'
  • Myths about the sector
  • Characteristics of the sector (legal structure, income, services, size and distribution)
  • Statistics (local and national)
  • Current burning issues (partly determined by participant input)

Participants will have the opportunity to send questions/interests about the sector prior to the session, so that we can specifically prepare to address them on the day.

Please feel free to pass this information on to whoever you think may benefit from attending this training session.

If you would like Nova to come and deliver a session at your workplace, please contact us. We require a minimum of eight attendees and the host organisation is responsible for ensuring participants attend, organising a suitable training room and refreshments.
