Do you want to make an impact across the Wakefield District?

Nova is the support organisation for the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in Wakefield District and we are currently looking to recruit a Mental Health Community Builder, to join our small, highly motivated team.

This role has been created through the work of the Mental Health Alliance to support the transformation of Wakefield Community Mental Health Services.

As a Community Builder you will work to provide tailored development support to voluntary and community organisations that provide mental health services across the Wakefield District. Working closely with the new Wakefield Connecting Care Hub Community Mental Health teams, you will lead the way in partnership working.

Representing the local voluntary care offer as part of the wider community mental health care offer you will identify opportunities to develop innovate tailored voluntary mental health care support to meet the needs of local populations, with a key focus on health inequalities. You will support organisations through a strategic approach and presentation at appropriate boards. You will promote organisational resilience, good governance and high quality and safety of service delivery. You will support the network of organisations across the district and support partnerships so that organisations can take advantage of new opportunities and contracts. Good practice can be shared without duplication.

This role will contribute to the sustainability of organisations, an integrated district wide system and development of effective services to meet local needs.
