Sport England are funding a new post at Nostell Priory to get Wakefield active. Sports Development Officer, Mark Hible has a new challenge on his hands. He is tasked with introducing new activities and sporting experiences to visitors of Nostell.

Mark is busy making connections with local and national sports providers to build the National Trust's offer at Nostell. Nostell Priory already has a good relationship with Wakefield District Cycle Forum, but it hopes this project will allow cycling to be developed further and to explore new activities that could take place at Nostell. Mark says "this is an amazing opportunity to do something really exciting in such a special place!"

Mark is looking to develop orienteering, canoeing, running, triathlon to mention but a few. To make the project work Nostell Priory want to engage with as many people as possible, so if your group want to be involved or if you are looking for experience in this area Nostell Priory would like your support.

For more information on the project or to find out how you can be involved please contact Mark Hible, Sports Development Officer on 01924 866839 or email mark.hible@nationaltrust.org.uk
