We are pleased to announce the launch of the Wakefield Emotional & Mental Wellbeing Grant Fund, which is managed and supported by Nova on behalf of NHS Wakefield CCG and the Mental Health Alliance. Grants will be allocated on the basis of identified need which supports the aim of reducing the incidence of mental health crisis and the demand on urgent care services. Applications need to be submitted by noon on Monday 16 December 2019 for consideration at the first panel in January 2020.

Funding requests should be between £300 to £10,000. Requests outside of this range may be possible; please give Nova a call to discuss the proposal.

The overarching aim of the Emotional & Mental Wellbeing Grant Fund is to develop, trial and evaluate community solutions that reduce the likelihood of a mental health crisis occurring, or where one does occur provide an alternative to statutory services.

The fund seeks to:

a. Increase access to community based support that prevents a mental health crisis occurring.

b. Provide alternative support for people experiencing mental health crisis.

Applications will need to demonstrate how they intend to support the achievement of at least one of these objectives.

Applications for funding can be submitted at any time, but will be determined by a Grants Panel that will meet quarterly, with the first meeting of the panel in January 2020. Applications need to be submitted by noon on Monday 16 December 2019 for consideration at the first panel in January 2020.

Future panels will meet in March, June, September and December 2020. The closing dates for applications, and the panel dates are as follows.
