We are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer multiple opportunities for organisations to bid for funding to support and develop community mental health activities.

The Wakefield Emotional & Mental Wellbeing Grant Fund is managed and supported by Nova on behalf of NHS Wakefield CCG and the Mental Health Alliance. Grants will be allocated on the basis of identified need which supports the aim of reducing the incidence of mental health crisis and the demand on urgent care services including winter pressures.

Funding requests should be between £300 and £20,000. Smaller amounts could help cover costs associated with running a small peer support group such as room hire, refreshments, or advertising. Larger amounts could provide additional resource to make existing sessions more accessible to those living with mental health conditions, or fund pilot provision to trial a new method of support.

We encourage organisations to be creative in their thinking whilst considering what already exists in the Wakefield District and looking to compliment this. You may also wish to consider how your proposed activity links into winter pressures and demand management.

There are two separate ways to apply for this funding: -
