An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within an expanding community-based social prescribing service set up to support adults aged 18+ to improve their health and wellbeing.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our award winning social prescribing service - Live Well Wakefield. The Service Support Officer is a key part of the team, making sure that local people can access the right support for them.

Salary: £21,002 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

What could you expect as the Service Support Officer? It's a varied role where you'd be:

  • The first point of contact/liaison for users of the service, members of the public and other professionals. This will include processing referrals/enquiries and providing low level triaging over the phone, online and in person.
  • A central part of supporting the service, including the team and managers, with things such as administration and office tasks, and offering suggestions to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Working as part of a voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) and NHS partnership, which provides a unique opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of both sectors.

We're looking for candidates who:

  • Can work under their own initiative and have previously worked in an environment dealing with the public.
  • Are confident and natural communicators with excellent organisational skills to co-ordinate the multiple aspects of this job role.
  • Have experience of working in a team and have good computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.

This role is permanent (current contract with Nova and SWYPFT until March 2023, TUPE will then apply if alternative provider). This post requires an Enhanced DBS Check to be carried out.
