The 16th Quarterly Confidence Report, which surveyed voluntary and community sector organisations in Yorkshire and Humber, has recently been published. It reports that more charities expect stability over the next 12 months in both their organisation and the sector, although few anticipate growth. To meet greater demand for services with less funding, many reported reducing their costs through partnership work and utilising volunteers to support or supplement the work of staff.
Locality, in partnership with the Local Government Association and delivery associates such as the Community Development Foundation, will be running the Our Place programme funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government. This £4.3m package of support and grants will support at least 100 neighbourhoods – improving areas informed by the people who know best – those who live there!
