Nova membership is free. Voluntary and community sector organisations working in some capacity within Wakefield District are encouraged to join.

Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak, the Nova Team is very busy providing a community response with partners. Therefore, processing memberships may take a little while longer. In the meantime, please feel free to call us on 01924 367418 and the team will assist you in any way they can. You can also sign up to our distribution list to receive weekly update bulletins which contain information on support and funding available during the Coronavirus outbreak.

To be eligible for membership organisations need to be working in some capacity within Wakefield District (see levels of membership below) and have a constitution/governing document that contains the aims, objectives and methods of working of the organisation. Please send a copy of this document to info@nova-wd.org.uk after you have completed the registration form.

If you do not have a constitution/governing document then please get in touch with us and we will be able to provide help with this.

Two levels of membership are available: Full and Affiliate.

Full Membership Benefits

Full membership of Nova provides a number of benefits to your organisation. You will be able to:

  • Access networking and learning opportunities for your group or organisation
  • Get involved with The Assembly and get your voice heard
  • Access and get support to use Nova ASSIST, a tool to help you understand and grow your organisation
  • Access online resources and training available through the Nova website
  • Include your organisation on The Directory - an online listing of Nova members
  • Add news, events, training and jobs to the Nova website for promotion
  • Access contract opportunities through Nova Contracts
  • Contribute to the way in which Nova runs by having a vote at our AGM
  • Receive e-bulletins from Nova - with sector news and updates from across Wakefield District

Affiliate Membership Benefits

If your organisation works mostly outside of Wakefield District then you are eligible for Affiliate Membership. You will be able to:

  • Get involved with The Assembly
  • Include your organisation on The Directory - an online listing of Nova Members
  • Add news, events, training and jobs to the Nova website for promotion
  • Access contract opportunities through Nova Contracts
  • Receive e-bulletins from Nova - with sector news and updates from across Wakefield District

You won't have access to the other member benefits; this is because Nova is only funded to provide these facilities for organisations carrying out the majority of their work within Wakefield District.

My Nova and your Membership Key

Once your organisation has joined as either a Full member or an Affiliate member then you will have access to the My Nova membership features on the website. You will also be issued with a membership key which individual staff and volunteers in your organisation will need if they want their own login for the website. You can have as many individual members per organisation as you like. The individual sign up process is quick and easy.
