Greater Awareness and Support for People Encountering Drugs (GASPED) offers information, advice, guidance, counselling, one to one appointments, signposting and group support for parents, partners, families and carers who are affected by a loved one using drugs or alcohol.

Green Tracks Enterprise is a new social enterprise organic market garden supporting adults with additional needs.

Groundwork Wakefield, which is part of Groundwork North, East and West Yorkshire, supports communities in need, working with partners across the Wakefield District to make positive changes. Its vision is to create better neighbourhoods, build skills and job prospects and to live and work in a greener way.

Hall Green Community Association runs a community centre which is at the heart of the community, and provides a meeting place for local residents young and old. We run a variety of social and educational groups to meet the needs of our local residents.

Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre is a community based, not-for-profit organisation. The Centre offers a range of activities including adult education courses, community activities and offers a wide range of other functions and services.

Havercroft Parent Forum is a group of parents that volunteer and fundraise monies so it can put fun events on for families in its community.

Healthwatch Wakefield listens to people who use local health and care services and takes their experiences to the people who plan and run them.

Helping-Hands provides help filling in benefit enquiries and with all welfare matters.

The objects of the Partnership are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Hemsworth in West Yorkshire and surrounding areas, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by associating the local authorities, community and voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, to relieve poverty, hardship, sickness and distress, to promote community safety, to improve and enhance the local environment, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said beneficiaries.

Hemsworth Miners Welfare Cricket Club is affiliated to the Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation. It provides cricket in the communities of Hemsworth, Fitzwilliam and Kinsley and runs two teams in the Pontefract league. It also uses its facilities for social events within the local area.

Holistic Healing Friends is a group of Reiki practitioners that got together to provide a Reiki share experience to members of the community in order to improve people's wellbeing. Its mission is to help and support people in need, specifically those who are experiencing challenging situations in their lives and, consequently, need a helping hand, a fraternal embrace, to feel they are not alone by providing advice, raising awareness through talk for personal growth and meditation and promoting wellness by providing complementary therapies like Reiki healing.

Home-Start Wakefield & District supports families across the Wakefield District. Support is available to any family who is experiencing stress or difficulty and who has at least one child under the age of 12 years. Home-Start Wakefield & District supports families who may be dealing with issues such as isolation, emotional health and relationship problems. Its Giving Back project supports families with children 5-12 years to improve parenting and coping skills to help them manage behaviour, support their children's learning and develop healthy lifestyles. It also offers support in family groups where parents can get out and meet others. These are informal groups where parents can come together and where children can play and interact with other children.
