The objects of the Partnership are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Hemsworth in West Yorkshire and surrounding areas, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by associating the local authorities, community and voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, to relieve poverty, hardship, sickness and distress, to promote community safety, to improve and enhance the local environment, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said beneficiaries.

Hemsworth Miners Welfare Cricket Club is affiliated to the Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation. It provides cricket in the communities of Hemsworth, Fitzwilliam and Kinsley and runs two teams in the Pontefract league. It also uses its facilities for social events within the local area.

Holistic Healing Friends is a group of Reiki practitioners that got together to provide a Reiki share experience to members of the community in order to improve people's wellbeing. Its mission is to help and support people in need, specifically those who are experiencing challenging situations in their lives and, consequently, need a helping hand, a fraternal embrace, to feel they are not alone by providing advice, raising awareness through talk for personal growth and meditation and promoting wellness by providing complementary therapies like Reiki healing.

Home-Start Wakefield & District supports families across the Wakefield District. Support is available to any family who is experiencing stress or difficulty and who has at least one child under the age of 12 years. Home-Start Wakefield & District supports families who may be dealing with issues such as isolation, emotional health and relationship problems. Its Giving Back project supports families with children 5-12 years to improve parenting and coping skills to help them manage behaviour, support their children's learning and develop healthy lifestyles. It also offers support in family groups where parents can get out and meet others. These are informal groups where parents can come together and where children can play and interact with other children.

Homes 4 Yorkshire aims to use the house building process as a vehicle to create skilled and well paid jobs for people who struggle to find work. Using an advanced timber frame technology Homes 4 Yorkshire will build the best social housing the country has ever seen.

Horbury Breakthrough Youth Project is a charitable youth project of Horbury Churches Together working with 11-25 year olds in Horbury, Lupset, Netherton, Middlestown and Overton. It provides games, sports and youth club activity clubs, drop-ins, cooking and performing arts clubs, self esteem/social interaction groups, residential experience weekends and more.

The charity's objects ('the objects') are: (a) To encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in the township of Horbury; (b) To stimulate public interest in and care for the beauty, history and character of the town and its surroundings; (c) To encourage the preservation, development and improvement of features of general public amenity or historic interest; and (d) To pursue these ends by means of meetings, exhibitions, lectures and promotions of schemes of a charitable nature.

Horbury Community Centre Trust is a small charitable organisation working with local residents, businesses and other voluntary and community organisations to improve the lives of residents of Horbury and South Ossett. Horbury Community Centre Trust does this by providing a community centre with facilities for leisure and education.
