The choir was established in May 2018 as a project within the Senior Citizens Support Group. The Trustees have agreed that in order to enable the choir to continue to grow that it should become independent of SCSG . The choir is now registered with Charity Commission with no 1191675. Since March we have had our rehearsals online and now are expanding into full performances going out online. We will offer this facility to Care Homes, ILS's, Hospices and individuals. It is a true Community Choir covering the whole of Wakefield with no restrictions on membership at all. Everyone is welcome to join.
