Speak With IT's aim is to provide Aphasia Support to help people with their speech when no other speech therapy is available. It aims to help people to gain confidence, lose their feeling of isolation and get back into the wider community.

Spectrum Community Health CIC provides advice, care and treatment through a range of health and wellbeing services. It uses its flexibility as a social enterprise to be responsive to the needs of local communities, extending beyond traditional healthcare boundaries to deliver care that is personalised, evolving and effective.

The Wakefield Stroke Support Service is a visiting service that provides information, advice and support to people who have had a stroke, their families and carers. It works with the stroke survivors to agree realistic goals and supports the individual to achieve them. It runs a variety of groups such as the Aphasia Cafe, social evenings and Stroke Support Group.

Donations kindly given to The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Charity are used to enhance patient care over and above the core services and facilities which are funded by the government. Public donations are used for a wide-range of purposes. The role of the charity is not to replace NHS funding, but rather to help the Trust deliver over and above its patient expectations to deliver world-class services. The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Charity has big ambitions to make a difference to the experience of patients the Trust cares for in its hospitals and community services.

The Prince of Wales Hospice provides palliative care for adults from Pontefract, Castleford and the Five Towns area with their life-limiting illness. It helps people live as well as possible with their illness and provides care at the end of life.

Wakefield and District Health and Community Support hosts The Yorkshire Health Charity. It is a grant making organisation, giving funds to individuals, small groups and communities which provide activities and services that support the health of disadvantaged people. These typically include sensory and physical impairment, learning disability and autism, mental health, dementia and older people, refugees and asylum seekers and people from various ethnic backgrounds.

TheRockinR is a charitable incorporated organisation set up for the public benefit to relieve the needs of children and young persons diagnosed with a DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), their families/carers by: a) the provision of interactive video gaming equipment to children and young persons diagnosed with DIPG and the provision of mobile gaming equipment for young persons in hospital who are immobile for certain periods of time; b) raising awareness of DIPG to the public, media, legislators and health care professionals through the provision of advice and information; c) making donations of financial assistance to charities established to support research into methods of diagnosis, treatment and management for DIPG.

Think Cre8tive actively uses music as an intervention in clinical health. It promotes and develops the use of creativity in local communities within England by working with individuals, families, groups and other organisations in a common effort to advance education, recreation, research, provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, and widen opportunity for social cohesion with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the local community. It passionately believes that the Arts and in particular learning music is of great benefit and importance to our physical and mental health and well-being and should be able to be accessed pre-birth and throughout our lives. Think Cre8tive works in local communities delivering a variety of projects and training to enable everyone to have access.

Thinking Forward 4 Mental Health is a support group that helps people with mental health problems. It runs various activities, including arts and crafts, gardening, games afternoon, darts, bowls, dominoes, a Recovery Cafe on Thursdays and a singing group.

Together for Mental Wellbeing - Wakefield Advocacy Together Hub provides Statutory Advocacy across Wakefield. This includes IMCA, IMHA, Care Act and DoLs.

Established in 1982, Touchstone is a health and wellbeing charity with the vision to inspire communities and transform lives. Touchstone delivers a broad range of support to people including mental health services, volunteering/peer support, specialist BME services and community development.

The main aim of Wakefield Breastfeeding Voices is to give a voice to the breastfeeding women of Wakefield and look at what support is on offer for them, give feedback to different services and hopefully improve women's breastfeeding experiences.
