Please pop in for an informal chat with one of their money experts over a cuppa and a sandwich at one of their events taking place across the District in November (please see below regarding the times and locations).

It's free to access for residents in the Wakefield District and puts you in touch with a range of organisations who can help you.

Benefits support

If you are on Universal Credit, your payments will reduce by £20 a week from 1 October, making you £80 a month worse off.

You may be entitled to a range of benefits including:

  • If you are disabled
  • If you are a carer
  • If you claim a pension
  • If you are unemployed

If you are on Universal Credit, these other benefits could replace the £20 a week. You may not currently be on benefits, but might be entitled to them. You may have tried to get benefit payments and have been turned down.
