Introduction to Neighbourhood Health in Wakefield District - For The VCSE Sector

What do you know about neighbourhood health? It is a key priority in the NHS 10 year plan. Are you ready to be engaged in this work?

Wakefield District Health & Care Partnership would like to invite you to the first in a series of events and workshops about Neighbourhood Health in the Wakefield District.

This event is an Introduction to Neighbourhood Health and is specifically aimed at local communities and the voluntary sector.

Wakefield District Health & Care Partnership are aware that the neighbourhood health is not a new concept and that many of you have plenty of experience and expertise on this subject. This event is an opportunity for you to be brought up to speed on developments and how these impact on our ways of working in the Wakefield District.

There will be speakers from the VCSE, Council and Integrated Commissioning Board and they will cover a range of subjects including how we include people’s voices, building on the work and assets we already have, including healthy and sustainable communities and neighbourhood working. We want to know the great work you already do in your communities, so that we can help shape our approach in Wakefield together; and there will be oppertunities for discussions to help build on what is already in place.

The event will have a range of guest speakers, presentations and workshops and will be providing lunch and network opportunities.

Arrive from 9.30am for a 10am start. The event ends at 1pm. Lunch will be served at 1pm and you are welcome to stay and network with partners.
