The UK Community Tree Planting Programme supports projects run by community groups and voluntary organisations that engage communities in planting and caring for native species of trees.
Grants are available for community woodlands/hedging projects that range from 100 – 10,000 trees planted per year, with a maximum price equivalent to £2.15 per tree (inclusive of tree protection and mulch). In addition, these projects also receive two maintenance grants equivalent to £0.10 per tree, disbursed in the first and second summers after planting.
Local registered charities and not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £5,000 for projects which improve a physical building (or land attached to it) that is used by people in need.
Unrestricted grants and training for small charities to develop their organisations to tackle health inequalities. Organisations led by and supporting the most disadvantaged communities are encouraged to apply.
One-off grants are available for UK registered charities who are providing home-starter packs for people in need to move into their home.
