
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has launched the Youth Jobs Grant, a payment for employers that recruit young people aged 18 to 24 who have been claiming Universal Credit and searching for work for six months or more.
Jobs must provide a genuine opportunity for a young person.

Employers of any size, including sole traders intending to hire, can apply for the grant. They must:
Local registered charities and not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £5,000 for projects which improve a physical building (or land attached to it) that is used by people in need.
Unrestricted grants and training for small charities to develop their organisations to tackle health inequalities. Organisations led by and supporting the most disadvantaged communities are encouraged to apply.
One-off grants are available for UK registered charities who are providing home-starter packs for people in need to move into their home.
