Funding Information

Wakefield Council Culture Grants offer up to £2,000. The small grants are open to applications from constituted community groups, charities, CICs, and other VCSE organisations.

Small grants are for small arts, cultural and heritage projects and activities. They support opportunities for residents to experience culture in their communities.

The grants support groups to co-produce creative and heritage projects by Wakefield communities. Wakefield needs your ideas and passion to help make a lasting impact and inspire your community.

Small grants will support

  • small scale creative, cultural and heritage projects
  • small scale participatory arts projects
  • small scale projects that target engagement with culturally under-served audiences
  • support for community led small scale public galas and similar (free to access). note: festivals or galas can only apply with a minimum of 3 months before their festival or gala date

Application deadlines

  • round 4: Monday 15 September 2025
  • round 5: Monday 17 November 2025
