Exploring Social Investment For Your Organisation

"Social investment is the use of repayable finance to help an organisation achieve its social mission. It sits alongside grants, donations and other forms of funding as a tool in your financial toolkit.

Unlike a grant or donation, it's paid back, often with interest. What makes this different from other investments is that investors are dedicated to supporting the organisations they invest in, to accomplish positive social outcomes."

Are you a charity, social enterprise, or community business considering social investment for the first time, or simply want to learn more?

This workshop is a great opportunity to:

  • Hear from a social enterprise that has taken on social investment to  enable them to expand without having to worry about cash flow.  They will tell you their full journey including the ups and downs.
  • Hear from a social investor about how they support you through the process prior to applying and throughout your entire journey
  • Learn about different types of social investment and better understand when social investment is not suitable or appropriate
  • Find out what resources & support is available around social investment
  • Ask questions in a safe and non-judgemental space
