Key Aspects of the Role
- Produce, plate and serve food to a good standard in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively and clearly with other members of the team to ensure the cafe operates efficiently
- Work safely within the Food Safety guidelines, ensuring that The Spring maintains their 5 star Food Hygiene Rating – this will involve cleaning, dishwashing, and deep cleaning as necessary
- Operating stock rotation systems, accepting delivery of stock, correctly storing all produce chilled and ambient, along with additional non food stock items
- Support volunteers in other areas in the case of staff shortage
- Communicate well with customers and volunteers alike
- Attend all statutory training, to include Food Hygiene, Allergen Awareness and First Aid Training
- Attend Bi Monthly Staff Team meetings
- Support the team with event catering as and when required
- Actively demonstrate an understanding of the Christian ethos that is at the heart of all they do at The Spring.
Ideally you would have some previous experience, be passionate about food, delivering excellent customer service and wanting to serve your local community.
