CoActive Arts are a Wakefield-based arts collective made up of artists with and without learning disabilities. Their goal is to create places of belonging, where the unique humanity, value and potential of each person is recognised, celebrated and encouraged.
This interview is a real insight into the incredible impact of user led VCSE organisations, and why we need to think differently about our sector. You'll hear about Wakefield being a home for CoActive Arts, fantastic projects, changing your mindset around funding, how Me and Menopause is tackling the lack of menopause support for people with learning disabilities, and loads more!
Thank you to everyone at CoActive Arts for getting involved! Please support their work - learn about them, get in touch, and be their audience. You can find out more about CoActive on their website.
