Invitation to the Big Listen North: Lost Boys
The Centre for Social Justice recently released a headline State of the Nation report, The Lost Boys, that found how boys are struggling in education, more likely to take their own lives, less likely to get into stable work, and far more likely to be caught up in crime. The numbers don’t lie. Something has shifted and we cannot ignore it any longer.
Following the Dimbleby lecture given by Sir Gareth Southgate, former manager of the England men’s football team, the Centre for Social Justice has been inspired to work on the next steps to tackle this national issue. It’s important that any potential solutions are rooted in grassroots experience, real world stories, and backed by strong national data.
We invite you to contribute by joining us in Leeds for this event as part of the Big Listen series which will gather leading thinkers and practitioners to discuss the key issues facing boys (and girls), create workable, practical solutions that are directly informed by hundreds of expert voices. Your insights and experience will be essential for our efforts to take a view on the change which is needed and how this can be achieved.
Please let us know if you can attend this important event as soon as possible as spaces are limited. Kindly return your RSVP to hello@csjfoundation.org.uk with any dietary requirements.
