Apply by 3 December: Compassionate Leadership Programme

We’re pleased to let you know that applications are now open for Cohort 2 of the Compassionate Leadership Programme, part of the Healthy Working Life initiative supporting our Wakefield health and care workforce.

This transformative development programme helps leaders create workplaces where people feel valued, supported and able to thrive.

Through three highly interactive sessions, participants will:

• Strengthen self-awareness and self-compassion to lead with confidence and emotional intelligence.
• Build inclusive and compassionate leadership approaches that inspire trust and connection.
• Learn practical tools to embed compassion into everyday practice and organisational culture.
• Create psychologically safe environments where teams can reflect, grow, and perform at their best.

‍Programme Dates (Cohort 2) – all sessions are 9am to 4.30pm:

• Unit 1: 4 February 2026
• Unit 2: 24 February 2026
• Unit 3: 17 March 2026

Eligibility‍

Line managers from any Wakefield health and care organisation who can commit to all three sessions and have organisational support.
If applications exceed available places, we’ll select participants to ensure a diverse mix of organisations across the Wakefield Health and Care Partnership.
