Basic Bookkeeping Using the WYCAS Cashbook (November)

Learn how to set up a basic bookkeeping system that allows you to easily record income and expenditure, as well as report on restricted and unrestricted funds.

This is a  3-hour course held online, with a maximum of 4 participants. We will email you a Zoom or Teams link a few days before the event. This is an interactive session, so microphones and cameras will be on throughout.

Course Content

• Set up the spreadsheet
• Enter transactions, with categories for income and expenditure, restricted funds, and bank and cash accounts
• Reconcile the bank balance to bank statements
• Produce finance reports for in-year reporting

WYCAS will guide you through using their in-house WYCAS cashbook (available for free download), developed over many years to provide a simple, effective system for small charitable organisations and social enterprises.

What You Will Need

• Access to a computer with Excel software
• Basic ability to use a spreadsheet
