Creative Health Foundations Training
The National Centre for Creative Health defines creative health as creative approaches and activities which have benefits for our health and wellbeing. This hands on training from Arts & Health Hub will support creatives, community workers, health professionals (and anyone else who is working in Creative Health or aspires to) gain a foundational knowledge and understanding of the sector and its practical applications.
This is a FREE full day (10am - 5pm) in person workshop at WX in central Wakefield and touches on 4 key sections throughout the day.
- Understanding the Creative Health Landscape.
- Creative Health Project Design.
- How to Approach Funding.
- Care (for Self & Others) in Creative Health Work.
This training is FREE to access and a limited no. of bursaries of £50 are available to support Freelancers to attend (priority will be given to those based in Wakefield district).
Who is it for?
The workshop is ideal for people wanting to gain a deeper understanding of creative health, get a sense of what to consider when designing their own project, how to approach writing funding applications, and how to ensure that care (for self and others) is embedded into working practices.
You might at the beginning stages of starting out in creative health, or have a bit of experience but want to brush up on your skills surrounding designing projects and looking for funding.
The day is designed to be as accessible as possible with plenty of time to ask individual questions with generous sharing.
What the Day Covers
The day is a mixture of knowledge sharing from the facilitator Daniel Regan and creative activities to help explore and digest information.
There will be plenty of time for specific questions.
