Information about
Best of Both Worlds - How Research Partnerships can Benefit both Universities and VCSEs
Interested in finding out more about University research and how you as a VCSE organisation might get involved? Come along to this webinar to hear about three projects where university researchers partnered up with VCSE organisations:
Presentation 1: Kris will describe his work with Leeds Autism AIM and colleagues from Leeds City Council to co-develop a research funding application. Unfortunately, the project was not funded but the collaboration was really positive and more work is now planned for the future
Presentation 2: Matthew, Bryony and Amy will talk about the Institute for Social Justice's Community Research Grants, a small grant scheme that matches VCSEs and York St John University researchers to collaborate on projects that they both value. The presentation will focus on barriers and enablers of doing community research from the perspective of both academics and VCSE organisations.
Presentation 3: Chris and Lucy will talk about their Creative Health Board project which has received funding over 3 years from AHRC to develop a co-produced programme of participatory research around creative activities, health inequalities and health systems. For more information about the project, you can visit their website: https://creativehealthboards.org.uk/about/
Following these short presentations, there will be a panel discussion and Q&A where you can ask speakers about their experiences of being part of such collaborations.
This event has been organised by the NIHR Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Wakefield. HDRC Wakefield is funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) and is hosted by Wakefield Council.
PLEASE NOTE: This webinar will be recorded so it can be shared with those not able to attend. If you do not wish to appear in the recording, please keep your camera turned off, or email HDRC@wakefield.gov.uk
