In 2022, Motability launched new grant programmes to provide even more support to disabled people through other charities and organisations who provide transport, help to access it, or research how to make transport accessible.
The programmes are based on research and insight which shows where grant-funding can have the biggest impact for disabled people.
They help to address the challenges that disabled people face accessing transport right now, while Motability continue their own research and innovation work into longer-term solutions to make all transport accessible.
Motability are using £50 million of the donation they received in 2021 to expand support for charities and other organisations for the next three financial years ending March 2025.
They have six grant programmes available for charities and organisations to apply for:
Charities and organisations can apply for grants from £50,000 up to £4 million.
Each application will be assessed consistently against the criteria to ensure fair and transparent awarding of funding and to deliver the greatest impact to as many disabled people as possible.
They aim to respond to enquiries regarding the grants to charities and organisations programmes within 5 working days.
Groundwork is delivering these community grants, designed to support unemployed and/or economically inactive people with complex barriers to move towards employment and digital inclusion.
These grants support projects that meet health and wellbeing related needs, and build strength within communities. We'll be offering grants up to £10,000 with possibility of two year funding.
A wide range of UK registered charities based and working in the UK can apply for one-off grants of up to £5,000 for garden projects or up to £10,000 for building or indoor projects.
