The Sir George Martin Trust is an independent grantmaker which aims to improve the well-being of economically and socially disadvantaged people in West Yorkshire by giving grants to locally-based, registered charities and churches who support their local community.
The Trust generally gives out flexible, one-off grants for running, capital and project costs, ranging from £500 – £5,000, however grants in the region of £2,000 – £3,000 are most common.
Grants are available to registered charities and churches doing outreach work, who are working to improve the wellbeing of disadvantaged and vulnerable people in West Yorkshire.

AS THERE IS CURRENTLY SUCH A HIGH DEMAND FOR GRANTS, WE ARE NOW FULL UP FOR OUR FEBRUARY MEETING AND UNFORTUNATELY CAN’T TAKE ANYMORE ENQUIRIES OR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR FEBRUARY. Grants are available for non-profit organisations and groups to transform an urban space with UK native plants or fungi, support wildlife and involve the local community.
Grants are available to UK-registered charities that help children and young people recovering from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and parents affected by ACEs, mental illness, or addiction.
Community groups, charities and partners working to reduce serious violence can apply for up to £10,000 each. Projects may include education, prevention, awareness and improving community safety.
