The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) was a central part of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda. From July 2024, responsibility for the fund transferred to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).
The Wakefield Heritage Capital Support Scheme supports the 'Communities and Place' priority within the UKSPF.

VCSE organisations can apply for capital grants to deliver small-scale heritage capital works to historic buildings and assets. These projects will see groups conducting important works on heritage assets. This will build confidence and capacity within our local communities. Grants can cover capital costs only for heritage assets i.e. contractor fees.

Note: We may close the fund early if we receive a high volume of applications. To avoid disappointment, apply as early as possible. Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis.
Grants to voluntary groups and not-for-profit organisations to deliver cycling projects aimed at adults who are either not currently cycling or cycling less frequently.
Grants are available to registered charities to deliver a variety of projects and activities that support children and young people under the age of 26.
This new fund for groups who distribute food and other essential items for disadvantaged members of the local community will open on 15 July and will be open for 2 weeks.
