Project Support Officer

We’re hiring a Project Support Officer to join the Live Well Wakefield team, a community-based service that supports adults aged 18+ to improve their health, wellbeing and independence.

What does a Project Support Officer do?

  • Acts as first point of contact/liaison for members of the public and other professionals, providing them with further information and signposting/triaging.
  • Works with team members to provide administrative support for activities, caseloads and meetings.
  • Works with sensitivity and has a good understanding of the issues experienced by users of the service.
  • Actions referrals and queries into the relevant project, including managing the service inbox.
  • Assists the team with a variety of communications methods to promote the relevant project.

This role will focus on the Economic Accelerator Programme at Live Well Wakefield, a new project supporting people to access services and address social needs that will help them to enter into, and/or sustain employment, staying well whilst in work.

What are we looking for in our Project Support Officer?

  • Recent experience of providing administrative support to a team or service.
  • Experience of working in a person-centred role with members of the public and communicating with a wide range of people.
  • Experience of keeping accurate and timely records.
  • Excellent organisational skills, and ability to manage timeeffectively, prioritise tasks independently, and work under pressure to meetdeadlines.
  • Confident IT skills.
  • Operates in a non-judgemental, empathetic manner.
  • Ability to work from Wakefield office base during service opening hours.
