The Well Women Centre is delighted to be in a position to increase their casework provision to better meet the needs of women in Wakefield.  

£28,378 - £29,812 pro rata, dependent on experience.

17 hours per week. Working pattern to be agreed in line with organisational needs, with the requirement to work until 8pm on Mondays.


Up to 1-year fixed term to cover maternity leave.

Please note that it is a genuine occupational qualification that a female takes on this role, and the post is exempt under section 7 (2) (e) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975.

The Well Women Centre are recruiting for a Caseworker to provide support for women (age 16+), to offer 1-2-1 and group work support.

As a Caseworker you will join the existing Casework team on a up to one-year fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. The Casework team offers gender specific support for women with a focus on reaching out to women that find it difficult to come forward for support. The Casework service is highly respected within the district and within your role you would be helping women to achieve meaningful and long-lasting change.

The Caseworkers are supported by the Casework Team Leader, the wider casework team and the whole centre service leads and practitioners. This role offers an opportunity to someone who is excellent at building and maintaining trust with women and girls that are navigating complicated and distressing life events. In this role you will offer flexible and responsive advocacy, emotional support and some psycho-educational 1:1 and group interventions.
