It's no secret that it's been a hard year for the VCSE sector.

As a local infrastructure charity, we've seen the impact here in Wakefield District.

Organisations who were a lifeline for under-served communities have had to make the difficult decision to close. Others face stretched resources and short-term funding that have placed real pressure on their work.

Through it all, the people who make up the VCSE sector have continued to show resilience, care and commitment. We want to recognise their work during a difficult year and reaffirm our commitment to standing alongside our members, and advocating for better, as we move into 2026.

Thank you to our partners who recognise the value of the VCSE sector and have worked alongside the Nova Team to create opportunities for support, representation and funding for local organisations.

We look forward to continuing our work together in the year ahead.
