Information about

Project Unity: Workshops on myths about Muslims

About the project

Better Communities Bradford, a local charity, have funding from the Henry Smith Trust to offer free workshops to VCSE organisations across West Yorkshire.

Called Project Unity, the aim is to challenge myths and misinformation about Muslims, in order to increase community understanding. In 2022/3, 42%of religious hate crimes targeted Muslims.

You can book either the one core session, entitled Myths and Misconceptions about Islam, or up to all seven sessions in any combination. The workshops usually last about an hour, including discussion, and need a minimum of ten people. The presenter brings their own power point projector and screen. A leaflet is available to add details of your venue, date etc.
