Social media is a powerful way for charities to reach and  engage with the people who matter most - but are you measuring the right things and using your data to improve performance?  

Join Civil Society on 4 & 18 November for Social Media Training for Charities, a practical two-part online course designed to help charities take a more strategic, evidence-based approach to social media.

Led by Cancer Research UK's head of social, Athar Abidi and National Institute for Health & Care Research's communications project manager Charlotte Hopwood, the interactive sessions will draw  on real-world examples of social media best practice and provide you with  practical exercises and follow-up support to help you put your learning into  practice.

Across two interactive sessions, you’ll learn how to:

·      Understand how social media platforms worktoday, including algorithms and reach

·      Identify which metrics really matter and how tomeasure them effectively

·      Analyse your own social media performance andbenchmark against others

·      Better understand your target audiences andcreate content that meets their needs

·      Set realistic social media objectives thatsupport wider organisational goals

·      Turn performance data into practicalimprovements to your strategy and content

·      Report on outcomes and demonstrate the impact ofyour social media activity
