Crisis Fundamentals Training

Voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations are invited to take part in a practical online training session designed to strengthen understanding of crisis management and organisational resilience.

Delivered in partnership with Horizon Resilience, the session draws on experience gained at the heart of UK Government crisis management to provide a practical introduction to how organisations can prepare for disruption and respond effectively when emergencies happen.

The training is particularly aimed at organisations supporting communities that may be disproportionately affected during emergencies and those with limited experience of formal resilience structures.

What you’ll learn

Participants will explore:

  • The principles of crisis management and resilience.
  • How the UK resilience system works.
  • The role of the voluntary and community sector during emergencies.
  • The different stages of the crisis lifecycle.
  • Practical approaches to organisational preparedness.

The session also includes a scenario-based discussion, giving participants the opportunity to apply their learning to realistic situations.
