To expand VCSE representation, Nova is regularly recruiting Advocates to boards via our open recruitment process.

Find the Advocate role for you

We're not currently recruiting for any Advocates, subscribe to our monthly newsletter for updates!

To get involved in other ways, please contact [email protected].

How does the recruitment process work?

Each Advocate role has an individual role profile. This role profile will explain specific information about the board - its purpose and remit – and the corresponding roles and responsibilities the advocate will have.

When we have a vacant Advocate opportunity, the role profile will be advertised on our website below.

We ask interested applicants to read the role profile and send us a short statement explaining why they want to be an Advocate and what skills and knowledge they will bring to the board.

Applicants are invited to an informal, supportive interview. Our current Advocates form the interview panel – this is to ensure that representation is selected for the sector, by the sector.

After the interview, we invite successful Advocates to an induction before they start attending board meetings. The induction provides information through the Advocate Handbook and an introduction to the board chair and facilitator.
