West Yorkshire Tackling Serious Violence Together Strategy Launch Event

The Mayor of West Yorkshire Tracy Brabin and the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime Alison Lowe OBE would like to invite you to the launch of the Tackling Serious Violence Together Strategy.  

The strategy, which has been co-produced with communities across West Yorkshire, fulfils the Mayor’s commitment to place a spotlight on violent crime. Over 5000 people have shaped the response sharing their experiences, ideas and solutions to help change lives.

The launch gives a platform to local groups and organisations who have shared a £500,000 pot to present local solutions. The groups, who were chosen by their local communities, will also receive their awards whilst sharing how their projects will address some of the key issues which communities told us they wanted tackling, including Knife Crime, Violence Against Women and Girls and Gangs and organised crime.

There will also be opportunities to hear from colleagues from the Violence Reduction Partnership and West Yorkshire Police.
